its really wanting to find outwhat a=

so

add the 6a and 5a =11a

11a=-11
a=-11/11
a=-1

$6a+5a=-11\ \ \ \ |simplify\\\\11a=-11\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ |divide\ by\ 11\\\\a=-1\\\\Answer\ is\ -1$
