The table shows ticket prices for the local minor league baseball team for fan club members & non-members. For how many tickets is the cost the same for club member & non-members?

Membership fee
Member $30
Non member $0
Ticket price member $3
Ticket price non member $6

I would divide 30 by the difference between ticket prices.
6-3=3
so, 30÷3=10
10 tickets

Answer:

For 10 tickets.

Explanation:

Let for x tickets the cost the same for club member & non-members,

For club member,

Membership fee = $ 30,

Ticket price per person = $ 3,'

Thus, the total cost for x tickets = 30 + 3x,

For non-members,

Membership fee = $ 0,

Ticket price per person = $ 6,

Thus, the total cost for x tickets = 0 + 6x,

\implies 30 + 3x = 0 + 6x

30 = 6x - 3x

30=3x

\implies x = (30)/(3) = 10

Hence, for 10 tickets the cost the same for club member & non-members.
