The Earth rotates about its axis from west to east. What piece of evidence about the Moon can we use to support this statement?

The Earth's rotation has no relation to the phases of the moon.
Like everything else in the sky, the moon rises in the east just like the stars, planets, and the sun.

Answer:

The correct answer is "The Moon rises in the east and sets in the west".

Step-by-step explanation:

The earth rotates on its axis from west to east, the Moon seems to move from east to west through the sky. Seen from above, the Moon orbits the Earth in the same direction as our planet rotates. In this way we can support this statement, just by observing the movement of the moon around the earth and due to the fact that we always observe the same face of the moon.

Have a nice day!
