From the given figure we can see that

The graph has x values from -ve infinity to +ve infinity, then

The domain is all real numbers

a)


D=(-\infty,\infty)

The graph is under the x-axis and does not intersect the x-axis, then

The values of y are the negative real numbers, then

The range is all negative real numbers

b)


R=(-\infty,0)

Since the graph just approach the x-axis (not intersect it), then

There is no x-intercept

c) The x-intercept does not exist

Since the graph intersects the y-axis at point (0, -1), then

d) The y-intercept is (0, -1) [ you can write y-intercept is -1]

f(1) means the value of y at x = 1

Look at the graph and find a point on the graph has x-coordinate = 1

You will find point (1, -2)

Then the value of y at x = 1 is -2

e) f(1) = -2
