1) the initial expression is:

x^2-11x+30

So we have to find two numbers that added is equal to -11 and multiply equal to 30 so the expression can be writen as:

(x-6)(x-5)

because

\begin{gathered} -6-5=-11 \\ -6\cdot-5=30 \end{gathered}

2) the initial expression is:

x^2+10x+9

so we need two numbers that added are equal to 10 and multiply equal to 9 so:

(x+9)(x+1)

because:

\begin{gathered} 9+1=10 \\ 9\cdot1=9 \end{gathered}
