Answer:

The value of x = - 1 and 2 double root of this function

Explanation:

we need to find the value of x which double root of
f(x)=x^(3) -3x-2

If we replace x with -2 then

f(-2)=(-2)^(3) -3(-2)-2 = -8+6-2 =-4

If we replace x with -1 then

f(-1)=(-1)^(3) -3(-1)-2 = -1+3-2 =0

If we replace x with 1 then

f(1)=(1)^(3) -3(1)-2 = 1-3-2 =-4

If we replace x with 2 then

f(2)=(2)^(3) -3(2)-2 = 8-6-2 =0

Hence, the value of x = - 1 and 2 double root of this function
