It takes two-thirds of yard of fabric to make a pillowcase. How many pillowcases can be made from 16 yards of fabric?

To get the answer we have to divide 16 yards by 2/3. When we are trying to divide number by fraction we can multiply that number by inverse of that fraction. Lets do this

16: (2)/(3) =16* (3)/(2)= (16*3)/(2) = (48)/(2)=48:2=24 - its the answer
