The correct answer is A) available uranium and plutonium are reserved for nuclear weapons.

What is NOT a factor in why nuclear energy has failed to live up to the initial hopes that it would solve nations' energy needs is "available uranium and plutonium are reserved for nuclear weapons."

Scientists have followed the way nuclear energy has impacted nations and their need to attend energy problems in their countries. But nucelar energy has felt short on expectations. Scientists say that the world's consumption of power is about 15 terawatts. But after some studies, the conclusion is that nuclear energy supply capacity is 375 gigawatts, much less of what was expected. And some other problems with nuclear power is that countries should build so many nuclear plants in specific large portions of land and what would they do with all the nuclear waste that represents a big risk.
