On a map, a 600km distance is represented by a 7.5cm line. Using the same scale, a distance of 280km would be represented by a line of what length?

The easiest way to do is using the rule of three, and let x be the length of the line which represents 280km on the map.

600 km --> 7.5 cm
280 km --> x

x = (280*7.5)/600
x=3.5 cm

So, 280 km is represented with a 3.5 cm line on this map.

Hope this Helps! :)
