Per hour? my best guess is 58 miles
All you have to do is divide 640 by 11

Answer:

The answer is 58.18
(miles)/(hours)

Explanation:

When we have to determine the speed of an object, we need two informations: total distance and total time of travel that distance. The speed is just an average of distance and time, that is:

speed=(distance)/(time)

So, we have:

distance=640 miles

time= 11 hours

speed=(640)/(11)=58.18(miles)/(hours)

Finally, the average rate of the car is
58.18(miles)/(hours)
