18x3.5=63
63/6= 10.5 gallons but if there isn't a option for 10.5 then it would be 11 rounded up. Hope this helps

Answer: Hello mate!

Mauricio wants to fry 18 potatoes per hour for 3.5 hours, this means that the total amount of potatoes he fries is equal to:

18*3.5 = 63

Now we know that he can fry 6 potatoes using a gallon of oil, now how many gallons of oil are needed to fry 63 potatoes?

this is:

N = 63/6 = 10.5 gallons, or 11 gallons rounding up

So Mauricio needs 11 gallons of oil if he wants to fry 18 potatoes per hour for 3.5 hours.
