What we wanna do is flip this equation. Assuming we are solving for x

(3)/(5)x + (-9)/(5) = y + 1 < Flipped

Add 9/5 to both sides!

(3)/(5)x + (-9)/(5) + (9)/(5) = y + 1 + (9)/(5) (3)/(5)x = y + (14)/(5)

Then we wanna divide both sides by 3/5

(3)/(5)x/ (3)/(5) = y + (14)/(5)/ (3)/(5) x = (5y + 14)/(3)
