An annotated bibliography is a list of citations. The citations could include books, articles, and documents. Citations are followed by a brief paragraph. It is called annotation. The annotation informs the reader with the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the cited sources. Applying the skills of analysis, thorough library research, one could create a useful annotation. Annotations must evaluate the background information of the author, it must indicate the intended audience, it has to compare and contrast existing work with another cited work.

The annotated-bibliography system helps the research to list the books he/she used to write the book, theasis. It is the only list used by the reader to further develop the topic. The citation used one book may lightened / create spark for new developments the same field. The documents in one book may be studied by other and it may examined the originality and authenticity of the records.
