A local grocery store sells apples $1.20 per pound, tax included. A shopper buys 1.4 pounds of apples from the store. He uses a coupon to save 10% off the total cost of the apples. Rounded to the nearest cent, how much does the shopper pay for the apples? $1.51 $1.00 $0.68

1.51 you multiply 1.4 by $1.20 and then multiply .10 and then subtract that number from your total.
