My work-
Multiply all terms by the same value to eliminate fraction denominators
17/12= /12
12 • 17/12= 12• p/12
Cancel multiplied terms that are in the denominator
12• 17/12= 12 • p/12
12•17/12=p
Multiply the numbers
12• 17/12 = p
17=p
Move the variable to the left
17=p
