Answer:

connect your current text to one that you have read before

Example:

Book 1: Little red riding hood

Book 2: The three little pigs

connection: in the little red riding hood, when red was almost eaten by the wolf, it reminded me of the three little pigs. In both stories, the 'bad guy'(antagonist) is a wolf.
