The five main factors of soil formation are: Parent Material, Climate, Living Organisms, Landscape Position and Time.

Parent material = Acted as nutrient storage
Climate = influence the temperature and the structure of soil
Living organisms = Helps in decomposition process
Landscape = Affecting soil formation
Time = Affecting soil composition
