A stained glass window is pictured below. The curved lines are semi-curves and ABCD is a square with sides 8 feet. What is the area of the window?

The formula for the area of a square is
Area = s^2 (s stands for side)

Another way to put that is
Area = s x s (side times side)

All of a squares sides are equal. That demand that all of the sides are 8 feet long

Area= side times side

Area= 8 x 8

Area = 64 ft.
