The correct option is C.

According to the kinetic theory of gases, the temperature apply to a gas affect the speed of motion of the gas particles. The higher the temperature of the gas, the faster the motion of the gas particles; the reverse is also true. This is because, as the temperature of the gas increases, the gas particles gain more kinetic energy and thus move faster and collide more with one another and with the walls of the container.
