The answer is TRUE. When electrons are passing through a wire, thy experiences some resistance in the wire. This is analogous to friction. Different types of wires have different types of resistance including the width of the wires. It is due to this resistance that some of the energy in the electric power is lost and dissipated as heat energy. This is why electronics get hot when used for long periods.
