to find the x int, sub in 0 for y and solve for x
-4x + 3y = 9
-4x + 3(0) = 9
-4x = 9
x = -9/4.....so ur x int is -9/4 or (-9/4,0)

to find the y int, sub in 0 for x and solve for y
-4x + 3y = 9
-4(0) + 3y = 9
3y = 9
y = 9/3
y = 3...so ur y int is 3 or (0,3)

Answer:

x-intercept (a):
x = -(9)/(4)

y-intercept (b):
y =3

Explanation:

-4 x + 3 y = 9

-4x + 3y = 9

-4x + 3(0) = 9

-4x + 0 = 9

-4x = 9

/-4 /-4

x = -(9)/(4)

-4(0) + 3y = 9

0 + 3y = 9

3y = 9

/3 /3

y =3

Hope that helps!
