Trevor bakes 8 batches of biscuits with 14 biscuits in each batch. He sets aside 4 biscuits from each batch for a bake sale and puts the rest in a container. How many biscuits this Trevor put in the container?

He set aside 32 for the bake sale, and put 80 in a container.

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this question, first, we have to multiply the number of batches by the number of biscuits in each batch.

  • 8 x 14 = 112 biscuits baked

Now, we have to calculate the number he sets aside, by multiplying the number of batches by the number of biscuits he sets aside per batch.

  • 8 x 4 = 32 biscuits set aside

Finally we subtract the total number of biscuits sets aside to the total number of biscuits baked.

  • 112 -32 =80

He put 80 biscuits in the container.
