Move all terms that don't contain x to the right side, and solve.
x = - 3y/2 + 18

2x+(3)(6)=36

Simplify both sides of the equation.

2x+18=36

Subtract 18 from both sides.

2x+18−18=36−18

2x=18

Divide both sides by 2.

2x/2=18/2

x=9
