A store sells both cold and hot beverages. Cold beverages, c, cost $1.50, while hot beverages, h, cost $2.00. On Saturday, drink receipts totaled $360, and 4 times as many cold beverages were sold than hot beverages.

Let

c------> number of cold beverages sold

h------> number of hot beverages sold

we know that

1.5c+2h=360 -------> equation
1

c=4h -------> equation
2

Substitute equation
2 in equation
1

1.5*(4h)+2h=360

6h+2h=360

8h=360

h=45

Find the value of c

c=4*45=180

therefore

the answer is

The number of cold beverages is
180

The number of hot beverages is
45
