Read the passage:

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
What is the effect of the physical imagery in this passage?

It is
The reader understands that the speaker has had to face great challenges in life.
(I took the test so I know that is correct lol) I got this answer by reading the definition of the word 'bludgeonings' basically meaning in that context that you've hit harder points in your life.
