let cost of 1 apple i=x dollar
and cost of 1 orange =y dollar
according to question we get following equation
james, 5x +10y=4.......(1)
donald, 3x+9y=3........(2)
solving 1,2 eq. we get
x=2/5 dollars and y=1/5 dollars
