2x + 4x + 6x = 10x + 84. Add the 2 4 and 6 that equals 12x 12x=10x+84 then subtract ten from the 12 since they both have X 12-10=2 2x=84 Divide 84/2 which equals 42. So X = 42 hope that makes sense :-/

12x-10x = 84
2x = 84
x = 42
