Complete the steps to factor the tens 30 x 40

(3 * 10) * (4 * 10)
For now we can just do 3*4 and add the 0s later.
So 3 * 4 = 12 and now we add the zeros that we took away so it's now 1200. Tbh, I think that's what it means by factoring the tens because I haven't done it in so long, so I'm sorry if that's not what it is, but the answer is 1200.
OR it might be asking:
(3 * 4) * (10 * 10)
So then it's 12 * 100 which equals 1200.
