I hope this helps you

y=5x+6 this lines slope= -5

-3 (6x-y)= -54

6x-y= 18

y= 6x-18 this lines slope= -6

parallel lines slopes equal

-5 is not equal -6 not parallel

Answer:

lines are not parallel

Explanation:

y = 5x + 6

–18x + 3y = –54

When the lines are parallel then the slope are equal

LEts write the equation in slope intercept form y=mx+b, where m is the slope

y= 5x+6

slope of the first line is 5

–18x + 3y = –54

Add 18x on both sides

3y= 18x-54

Divide whole equation by 3

y= 6x -18

Slope of the second line is 6

Slope of first line not equal to the slope of second line

So the lines are not parallel
