-4 and -9
When you are multiplying negative numbers, two -s makes a positive, and 4 x 9 = 36.
Also, (-4) + (-9) = -13, Because a + and a - makes a negative, so it is saying -4 - 9. If you go down 9 on a number line from -4, you get to -13
