Because the 'sanctity' of one thing, vs the non-sanctity of another is all the vanity of the judgmental dualistic imagination, the ego, of the beholder!!

The sanctity of something needs reaffirmation because that is the way it supports or reaffirms the sacred element of sanctity.

Sanctity implies that something is sacred or pure. It came from the concept of the Saints from church, that were pure and that did not commit sin. Sanctity needs to reaffirmed when something or someone put it at risks and then needs reaffirmation to fortify the original commitment.
