3m=2(4+x)
To solve for x, you need to get x by itself.
1. Distribute: 3m=2(4+x)
3m= 8 + 2x
2. Subtract 8.
3m- 8= 2x
3. Divide all numbers by 2 in order to isolate the x.
3/2m-8= x
This is the furthest the equation will go since there is no number in the place of x. I hope this helps! (: Good luck.

Simple.........

3m=2(4+x)

Simplify...

3m=2(4+x)

3m=8+2x

Isolate the variable....

3m=8+2x
-8 -8

3m-8=2x

(3m-8)/(2) = (2x)/(2)

(3m)/(2) -4=x

Thus, your answer.
