(5/8)/(1/4) = (x)/(1) \\ \\ (5)/(8)= (1)/(4) x \\ \\ (20)/(8) =x

Unit Rate:
(20)/(8) square feet per hour

For this case we must know the unit rate.

To do this, we divide the amount of area covered by the fertilizer, between time.

We have then:

r =((5)/(8))/((1)/(4))

Then, rewriting the unit rate we have:

r =(4*5)/(8*1)

r =(20)/(8)

Answer:

the unit rate is:

r =(20)/(8)(ft^2)/(h)
