60/4=15
15 is your answer 15 girls and for the boys there were 45
3*15 and 1*15=
45 and 15=
60

3:1
total is 4 units
60=4 units
divide both sides by 4
15=1 unit
girls=1 uinit
15=girls
there were 15 girls
