Definietly D. The king was a horrible one and the people were tired of bad rulers so they forced king john to sign the Magna Carta which gave the people some power. They were all very happy after signing because now the government wasnt an autocracy

The Magna Carta was an important document because it gave the Englishmen the right to vote for the king and paved the way and influenced the development of common law.
