one minute is 60 seconds. I'm using this equation: Vf= Vi+at
40/60=2/3=0.666...m/s^2

Answer:

Acceleration of car is 0.67 m/s².

Explanation:

It is given that,

Initially, the car is at rest. Its initial velocity will be 0.

It accelerates along a straight line path in one minute or 60 seconds.

Final velocity of car, v = 40 m/s

We have to find the acceleration of the car. It can be calculated using first equation of motion as :

v=u+at

a=(v-u)/(t)

a=(40\ m/s-0)/(60\ s)

a = 0.67 m/s²

Hence, this is the required solution for the acceleration of the car.
