Right now, you have 3p - 7 + p = 13, which is close, but -7 is in the side of the variables. So, in order to get -7 to the other side, you simply just move -7 to the other side. (Remember that once you move the number or variable to the other side, you have to change the negative to a positive or a positive to a negative) So your result would be 3p + p = 13 + 7.
