Reggie has 65 quilt patches. He makes 2 quilts with 5 rows of 6 patches in each quilt. How many quilt patches will be left over?

5*6=20*2=40
65/40= 1 with 15 patches left over

I believe that you would have 5 patches left over, because you want to multiply 6x5=30 and then he has two quilts that equal 30. So, you now multiply 30 x 2, which equals 60 and you subtract 65 - 60, which equals 5.
