What are three ways you can identify an ionic bond?

I also had trouble finding it too. But here is what I know:
1. Electronegativity - how attracted an electron an atom is to a particular atom.
2. Shapes - use a Lewis dot structure to molecule.
3. Bonds - check if it's made from a metal and a non - metal.
