slope intercept is y=mx+b
siolve for 1y

4x-2y=8
minus 4x both sides
-2y=-4x+8
divide both sides by -2
y=2x-4

Simple....

you have: 4x-2y=8

You want to re-write the equation in slope-intercept form..or y=mx+b

4x-2y=8

Isolate y....

4x-2y=8
-4x -4x

-2y=-4x+8

Now divide...

(-2y)/(-2) = (-4x+8)/(-2)

y=2x-4

Thus, your answer.
