the cup space is 10 by 10 inches long, each cup is 3 inches by 3 inches. the top of the space is to the cups so you can not stack them. how many cps can i put in the cup spot?

100/9=11.1 which is a remainder of 1 inch

so the are of the cup is 3*3 or 9
the area of the cup space is 10*10 or 100
we see how many times 9 goes into 100
100/9=11.1111
but we cant fit part of a cup so we round down and get
can fit 11 cups
