How does the value of egalitarianism differ from a heredity monarchy?

Egalitarianism means equality - everybody has equal chances of becoming the ruler of this country, as long as the people deem them worthy to be the leader. A heredity monarchy means that the crown is passed to the offspring - if the mother is queen or the father is king, then their child will become the next ruler.
