How do you turn 8.5 into a fraction just a bonus question so don´t confuse yourself

8.5 is 8 and 1/2 in fraction form. So the 8 in front of the decimal is a whole number and the 5 is in the tenths place to put 5 over 10 so then it would be 8 and 5/10 but then you simplify and it would be 8 and 1/2 ANSWER: 8 and 1/2

8.5 equals 8 1/2 (8 and one half). Whenever a decimal is .5, then it is always one half.
