standard form is ax+by=c
where a and b are integers and a is normally positive

or if yo meant slope intercept which is y=mx+b

so

slope intercept is easer to do first
y-4=3/4(x+8)
y-4=3/4x+6
add 4 to both sides
y=3/4x+10
slope intercept
other form
minus 3/4x from both sides
-3/4x+y=10
times both sides by -4
3x-4y=-40
