protons have a positive charge, neutrons have zero charge, and electrons have negative charge

Electron.

The electrons of an atom, in the electron cloud, are the only subatomic particles that have a negative charge.

The neutron, which is in the nucleus, has no charge, so it is neutral.
The proton, which is also in the nucles, has a positive charge.
