A = L * W
A = 20,000
L = W + 10

20,000 = W(W + 10)....or 20,000 = W^2 + 10W

Answer:

20,000 = 10w + w².

Explanation:

Given : A rectangular plot of ground is 10 meters longer than it is wide. Its area is 20,000 square meters.

To find : What equation will help me find the dimensions?. Let w=width.

Solution : We have given

Let Width = w

Length of rectangular plot = 10 + w .

Area = length * width .

plugging the values

20,000 =( 10+w) * w .

20,000 = 10w + w².

Therefore, 20,000 = 10w + w².
