y = x ( x-6) ^2

--------------

x-6

The domain is the values that x can take

The denominator cannot be zero

x-6 cannot equal zero

x-6 =0

x=6

X can be all values but 6

x | x cannot equal 6

To find the x intercepts, set y =0

This means the numerator is equal to zero

0 = x ( x-6)^2

Using the zero product property

x=0 (x-6)^2 =0

x =0 x-6 =0

x=0 x=6

but 6 is not in the domain so x cannot equal 6

The only x intercept is 0
