A biology class is studying mold. The samples need to be magnified 30 times in order for students to identify the key features. If an actual sample is 20 millimeters long, how many centimeters is the magnified image?

(1 millimeters = 0.1 centimeters)

The answer is 60 cm
30 times 20 is 600

and when you do 600mm * 0.1cm/1mm you get 600 * 0.1 which is equal to 60 centimetres
