When looking at coordinates, the first number is on the x axis(horizontal/ side to side line) and the second in on the y axis(vertical/ up and down line) then counting the lines of the point over to the given x axis number, then up the given y axis number

ok so you first point is the y intercept =5 plot this at 5 on the y axis/vertical line from there you plot your slope =1/2 you go up 1 and over 2
