Answer:

The slope is 1/3

Look for two points that are in an exact point.

I chose (1,-8) and (4,-7)

just by looking at those points, you can see the x value increased by 3

(1 to 4) that's the run. and y value increased by 1 (-8 to -7) that's the rise.

slope = rise over run so it is 1/3

make a triangle from (1,-8) to (7,-6)

you will rise 2 and go over six

rise/run 2/6 the slope is 1/3
